Hey it's good to be back
Yeah and it's quite a sense of relief that the exams are finally over , and the next hurdle to jump would be the O-Levels
Looking far ahead ...
But anyway , here's a review of the end of year exams since I've not been posting since the exams started
Last Friday was social studies and emaths paper 1
Can say that I suddenly felt I loved social studies while doing the paper
And thank God that I didn't spot wrongly , theme on governance was like "?"
SBQ questions were understand-able , able to intepret sources a little
Hope I could at least get an A2 or something
EMaths was no kick ._.
Wonder who set it - apologies
Monday had geography and emaths paper 2
I admit , geography was of good standards - higher than the Os
Mrs Ali sure knew how to set it , was difficult - but not to that extreme
Didn't had sufficient time to check through each single question , just able to complete and hand in
There goes my As in combined humanities
Gonna work even harder during december to really brush up in order to get myself into a JC next next year
EMaths paper 2 was set by Mr Beng , wow not bad
Some questions required small thinking processes , otherwise it's also no differnece to emaths paper 1
Tuesday had chemistry paper 2 and amaths paper 1
(You see that big domino lining of papers related to maths ?)
Chemistry was set by Mr Ng , far easier than I expected
Anderson paper given to us by Mrs Dan for practice was a little challenging , compared to Mr Ng's , the latter was so much easier
I'm quite a little opposite to some of us here , people feel that chemistry is the hardest amongst the sciences , followed by biology and easiest is physics
For me it's the other way : Physics , bio and then chem
So sec 3s next year , hope you are exposed to a little knowledge on which subject combinations you would chose next year !
AMaths , when I found out in the morning it was set by Ms Tan (Sec 4 AMaths teacher) , my heart felt nervous - and it was later proven wrong
Lol it was also ... ok ? AMaths though , requires a little more thinking than EMaths
Wednesday had physics paper 2 and amaths paper 2
Yeah , physics threw me somewhere off the fence
Mr Tong sure knows how to set standards as well
Made a little careless mistakes here and there ... hope my A still stays
AMaths , didn't know who set it - Mr Song ?
No idea , but this paper was 1 h 30 mins long , compared to the other maths papers which were 2 h each
So many didn't had time to complete
For me , I spent 15 minutes going back to the starting question to do it after finishing the paper
Got kinda stuck at logs , but after awhile was okay and subbed back in the answers correctly
So yeah , it's do-able
Thursday had both physics and chemistry paper 1
MCQ paper , I now know what 45 minutes feel like - nothing !
Had to really read quick , understand fast , grasp the understanding of the topic from your brain and answer the question quickly - within 25 minutes - and answer all 30 questions
And then , use the remaining 20 minutes to check through
That was what I did
Today , both biology papers
Yes close friends of mine , you all know me well
My strong desires for it and yeah ...
I'm kind of heartbroken , I spent the whole thursday afternoon from 12 pm when I came back home from school , to 8 pm sitting down doing bio
And then an hour on dinner before continuing 9pm to 11pm
I even woke up at 4.45 (although I wanted to at 5.15 but my adrenal glands involuntarily secreted adrenaline which auto woke me up) to do some recap questions
I anticipated questions like setting up and experiment to investigate more of the plant anatomy - and I was completely wrong
I focused quite a number on like , "How to test that CO2 is taken in during ... How true is it that heat is given off during ..."
And it completely didn't come out -.-
I didn't expect Ms Lim to just , directly take off questions from 10 year series
A little regret I didn't look through - although I did it before
Now that I found out some missing points I didn't include ... I'm kinda nervous
I already found out I lost 1.5 marks in labelling diagrams - what a big waste ....
I was taking a deep breather while writing my name , and Mr Beng went "Ok start now"
Took my heart to stop beating for almost awhile ...
But it's ok I guess ... it's over anyway
Just hope my answers a correct for the others
And anyway , my MCQ seemed to be quite well done after discussing it with everyone after the test
So chances of it pulling up my paper 2 score is still relatively high
So yeah ... I look forward to a good day at school on tuesday
Sorry for the lengthy post , hoped some of you learned more from a sec 3's life to prepare you for next year
And always feel welcome if any of you have doubts in any questions pertaining to bio and chem , I'd be glad to help
Felt good to help michel , jermyn and some more others .
So yeah , I'll pray for all the best in the marking on Monday and good results everyone would receive on Tuesday
Till then :D
